At a glance: We use your information to answer enquiries and arrange cargo services. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Email marketing is optional. Google Analytics is off unless you opt in; advertising trackers stay off.

1. Who is responsible?

Java Logistik is the business responsible for personal information handled through javalogistik.com and related enquiries about our cargo services. We provide cargo handling and coordinate transport from California to Java, Indonesia, and Hong Kong, including delivery through outsourced trucking providers. This statement covers visitors, enquirers, customers and shipment contacts.

For privacy questions or requests, email cs@javalogistik.com, addressed to “Privacy — Java Logistik.”

2. Information we collect

We collect information directly from you, from a sender or business arranging a shipment involving you, and from the systems needed to deliver and protect our website and communications.

  • Contact identifiers: name, email address and, for quote requests, phone or WhatsApp number. These let us identify the enquiry and respond.
  • Enquiry and commercial information: messages, pickup and destination cities, shipment type, transport preference, contents, approximate weight and box count, and subsequent quotes or service correspondence.
  • Shipment records, when you book: sender and recipient details, collection and delivery addresses, cargo inventories, transport and customs documents, and billing or transaction records necessary for your shipment. The initial website form does not request identity documents or payment-card details.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser/device information, requested URL, request time and security or error events may be processed by the website host to deliver the site and prevent abuse. Our enquiry email does not add your IP address or browsing history.
  • Your choices: a language selection, optional language-memory setting, and any email-marketing permission or withdrawal. An enquiry receipt records the notice version, time of submission and whether the optional marketing checkbox was selected.

Form fields marked required are needed to answer the request; the form cannot be submitted without them. Other shipment details and marketing permission are optional. You may instead contact us by email. If you provide another person’s details, make sure you are entitled to do so and give them this statement.

Please do not put passport numbers, Social Security numbers, financial credentials, health information or sensitive documents in the website forms. If a shipment legally requires identity or customs documents, we will explain what is required and how to provide it before collection.

3. Why we use information

We use relevant information to respond to enquiries, assess cargo and route suitability, prepare quotes, arrange requested handling and transport, communicate about shipments, maintain required business records, prevent misuse and resolve disputes. We also use contact details for our own service marketing when you have chosen to receive it.

We do not use the website to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, build advertising profiles, or infer sensitive characteristics. Submitting an enquiry does not waive your privacy rights or give general consent to unrelated processing.

4. Who receives information

  • Optional analytics: If you opt in, Google Analytics helps us understand page visits and contact-button use. Google processes usage events, browser/device information and network metadata. We do not send enquiry contents or direct contact details to Analytics. Consent is the basis for this optional processing; withdraw it at any time in privacy choices. See Google’s privacy policy. Advertising features and automatic form tracking are disabled.
  • Website and email providers: Cloudflare provides website hosting and form-function infrastructure; Resend delivers submitted enquiries to our business email inbox. These providers process technical data or enquiry contents needed for their tasks. Our business email provider stores received messages. See the Cloudflare privacy policy and Resend privacy policy.
  • Shipment partners: relevant cargo details and sender/recipient contact information may go to appointed trucking providers, freight and airline partners, sea-transport partners, destination agents and customs service providers to assess or perform your requested shipment. We limit information to what the task requires.
  • Authorities and professional advisers: information may be disclosed when required by customs, export, tax or other law, or where necessary for legal claims, security, accounting or professional advice.

We do not sell customer personal information or disclose it to other companies for their advertising. Sharing necessary details to fulfil a shipment is different from sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising.

WhatsApp and Google Maps are external links, not embedded widgets. They receive information when you choose to open their services, under their own terms. WhatsApp conversations may contain your phone number, profile details and messages. See WhatsApp’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.

5. Marketing is your choice

The separate, unchecked website option requests emails about Java Logistik’s cargo offers and service news. It is not required for an enquiry, quote or shipment. We do not treat that option as permission for promotional calls, SMS or WhatsApp messages, or for another business’s marketing. We verify email ownership before adding a website subscriber to a marketing list.

You can withdraw permission at any time using the unsubscribe instruction in a marketing email or by emailing cs@javalogistik.com with “Unsubscribe.” We stop promotional emails as soon as practicable and within 10 business days. Essential replies and updates about a shipment you requested may continue. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.

6. How long we keep information

  • Enquiries that do not become shipments: 12 months after the last substantive interaction, then delete or anonymise the enquiry record.
  • Shipment, billing and supporting business records: 7 years after shipment completion or cancellation, to support records obligations and claims. This does not mean every identity-document copy must be kept for 7 years; we minimise those copies and remove them when the specific clearance or legal requirement ends.
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe, or 24 months after your opt-in or last direct interaction with our marketing, whichever comes first. A tracking-pixel email open does not restart this period.
  • Consent, privacy requests and suppression records: retain a minimal record of the choice/request and its handling for 3 years after closure or withdrawal where needed to demonstrate compliance. We keep only the contact detail needed to honour a marketing opt-out for as long as we continue the relevant marketing programme.
  • Browser preferences: a selected language lasts for the browser-tab session; a saved privacy choice and optional remembered language expire after 90 days. See the storage inventory.
  • Optional analytics: User-level and event-level Analytics data are set to two months, with reset on new activity disabled. Aggregated reports may remain available for longer.
  • Operational security and delivery logs: retain only for troubleshooting, security and delivery needs under the relevant provider’s configured retention period. This can differ from the periods for enquiry records held in our inbox. Ask us for details about the providers involved in your request.

A specific legal obligation, active dispute or preservation requirement can require longer retention of the relevant records. We restrict their use during that period and delete or anonymise them when the reason ends. Backup copies follow the applicable backup cycle and should not be used to restart marketing or ordinary processing after deletion.

7. Your privacy rights and requests

You can ask to review, correct or delete your information, obtain a copy, or stop optional marketing by emailing cs@javalogistik.com. Describe your request and use the email associated with your enquiry where possible. Do not attach identity documents at the outset. We may ask for proportionate information to confirm your identity or an authorised agent’s authority before disclosing or changing records.

California: where the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, applies to our business and your information, rights include knowing/accessing categories and specific information collected, correction, deletion, portability, opting out of sale or sharing, limiting certain uses of sensitive information, and freedom from discrimination for exercising rights. We do not sell or share information for cross-context behavioural advertising, including information of minors, or use sensitive information for advertising or profiling. The availability of statutory rights depends on the law’s scope and exceptions; we still welcome privacy requests from all customers.

Other US states and international visitors: applicable laws may also provide access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, and opt-outs from targeted advertising or certain profiling. Where a right to appeal applies, reply to our decision with “Privacy appeal” and the reasons you disagree. We will review it and explain the outcome and available complaint route.

We respond within the applicable legal deadline: ordinarily 45 days for covered US state requests, or one month for requests governed by EU/UK data-protection rules, with notice if a permitted extension is needed. Covered California requests to know, delete or correct will be acknowledged within 10 business days. Some records may be exempt from deletion because of transport, tax, security or legal obligations; we will explain applicable reasons. We do not require an account or charge a fee for an ordinary request.

You may complain to your state attorney general or privacy regulator, the California Privacy Protection Agency, or the applicable regulator in your country. You do not have to contact us first. For California guidance, see the California DOJ privacy-rights information.

8. International handling

Java Logistik operates in the United States. Depending on your route, shipment information may need to be handled in Indonesia or Hong Kong, and our technology providers may process data in other countries. Those countries’ privacy rules may differ from your own. Contact us to ask where your information is processed, which partners are involved and which transfer safeguards apply. Using this site is not consent to waive protections required for an international transfer.

If EU or UK data-protection law applies to a particular activity, the relevant grounds are taking steps at your request before a contract or performing it; applicable legal obligations; legitimate interests in answering business enquiries and securing services, balanced against your rights; and consent for optional marketing or storage where required. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent. Cross-border transfers must use a legally available mechanism where required. This statement does not claim that visiting from a country automatically makes every law of that country applicable.

Customers in Indonesia and Hong Kong may also have local rights to information, access, correction and other remedies under applicable data-protection law. Use the same privacy contact to request assistance; shipment-specific collection requirements will be explained when needed.

9. Cookies, browser signals and tracking

Google Analytics and persistent language memory are optional and off until you enable them in Cookies & privacy choices. Analytics cookies last up to 90 days without automatic renewal on visits; the preference record expires after 90 days. Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track keeps analytics off. We use no advertising pixels, session replay, embedded maps or externally loaded fonts.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): a browser-enabled GPC signal is treated as a request not to sell or share personal information for targeted/cross-context advertising. Those activities are already off for everyone on this website, so no additional opt-out step is needed. GPC does not unsubscribe you from email; use the email controls above.

Do Not Track (DNT): this website does not change its behaviour in response to the older DNT signal, because it does not track browsing over time across third-party websites. No third-party advertising trackers are authorised to collect that activity through this site. External sites you deliberately open operate under their own policies.

10. Security and children

We limit enquiry collection, restrict browser resources to our site, validate form inputs, and avoid exposing email-provider error details. No website, email service or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send sensitive identity or payment information through ordinary enquiry forms or email; contact us first if it is required.

Our website and marketing are intended for adults arranging cargo services. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 or market to children. If a child has submitted information, a parent or guardian can contact us to request review and deletion. Information needed about a shipment recipient should be provided by the responsible adult.

11. Changes and contact

We will post revisions on this page and update the date above. For material changes to collection, uses or recipients, we will provide a prominent website notice and, where appropriate, contact affected customers before the change takes effect. We will obtain new permission when legally required rather than treat continued browsing as consent.
